The Service welcomes any organisation or individual to fundraise on its behalf.
All that is required is for you to contact us with your fundraising idea or event and we will post or email to you a sanction letter which gives you permission to fundraise on our behalf.
This year we have had three major events run by other organisations - Opera at the Channon - held annually, Trek Quest and the Cairns to Cape York Postie Bike Tour.
As well as these large events there are numerous other fundraising events run by small to medium community organisations including bowls days, walks, fun runs, bike tours, trail rides, surf clubs, service clubs who donate all or part of their proceeds or make a donation to the Helicopter.
Whether it's a sausage sizzle, a fashion parade, a mufty day or your own version of ‘dancing with the stars’, a community fundraising event raises valuable dollars to help keep us flying. You can also fundraise online by creating your very own fundraising web page, on the Everyday Hero website, emailing the link to your networks and friends, and asking them to sponsor you.
Our fundraising team are here to offer advice, and support via the use of signage, money tins, logos and publicity in our weekly newspaper columns. Depending on availability and what you have planned we may even be able to arrange a guest speaker.
If you would like to fundraise for the helicopter, give us a call on (02) 6627 4444, and we will provide you with the necessary information to help you get started.
