121102 preparing for a hospital transfer webDuring the past week Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to eight Secondary missions.

MISSION SUMMARY

Monday 13th November – Secondary – Tasked to Kyogle where a 50 year old male had been impaled by a piece of wood through the right side of his cheek following an accident at a timber mill. The patient was stabilised at Kyogle Hospital before being airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital, Southport.

Monday 13th November - Secondary – IHT – Airlifted a female patient with a gastric ulcer from Grafton Base Hospital to Lismore Base Hospital.

Thursday 15th November – Secondary – IHT – Airlifted a 64 year old male from Glen Innes Hospital to Lismore Base Hospital.  

Thursday 8th November - Secondary – IHT - Airlifted a 60 year old male from Grafton Base Hospital to Lismore Base Hospital.

Thursday 15th November – Secondary – IHT - Airlifted a 63 year old female with respiratory failure from Lismore Base Hospital to the Gold Coast Hospital.

Friday 16th November – Secondary – IHT – Airlifted a 76 year old female patient with a skull fracture from Lismore Base Hospital to the Gold Coast Hospital.

Saturday 17th November – Secondary – Airlifted a 26 year old male with injuries suffered in an assault from Maclean Hospital to Lismore Base Hospital.

Sunday 11th November – Secondary – IHT – Airlifted an 85 year old male with a cardiac condition, from Lismore Base Hospital to the Gold Coast Hospital.
